How do i create a proper class?

Creating a class is like finding the perfect shoe it must fit who you are or its uncomfortable and hard to play. Here are a few steps to try when creating your class.

  1. What kind of a player are you? Are you constantly turning corners? Are you using cover and advancing slowly? Are you in a back room with a nice defense and a long view? Do you do combinations of these? Are you a camper? Do you run and gun? etc
  2. Are you generally outside or inside (when in a map)
  3. Do you remember to use your grenades?
  4. Are you always watching your back?
  5. Do you usually get a lot or few kills without dying?
Once you answer all of these your ready to make a class. Here's some steps to follow to help you.
  1. Pick your Primary weapon.
    • Are you close, middle, ranged, moving, camping. Pick the appropriate catagory, i see people all the time using snipers at point blank, or smg at a distance.
    • Pick the appropriate proficiency, if you are going to be using sniper then kick may not be the best for you, if your going to use 1 or 0 attachments then the attachments proficiency may not be that great.
    • Attachments, make sure you use what you put on, if you put a grenade launcher on  then use it, if you put a heartbeat sensor on then use it don't just have it.
    • Camouflage, the maps have a very large verity of colors, textures, etc so if you decide to put on a camo use one that is not flashy or that will blend in to your environment, in most cases unless your sniping this is not a huge deal.
  2. Pick your Secondary weapon.
    • Do you not often use it? if so then simply put on a launcher and take out air support as you have the opportunity.
    • If you use it often say running out of ammo, or your sniping and need a close range gun then decide on for most i suggest a machine pistol because most people cant fire a semi auto fast enough and the automatic helps at point blank, but if you can pulse fire your handguns fast then i suggest one of those, it has less recoil and more accurate.
    • Attachments for secondary's are useful, if your being stealth use silencer, if your just guarding a small area like a staircase use akimbo, this weapon is not meant for long range so the red dot sight and holographic sight are unnecessary.\
  3. Picking your Lethal
    • Are you staying in one spot, moving, both? For people who often run into rooms and take the front line in breaching an area you may want to consider a frag or semtex, if you use frag remember to crook.
    • If your more in one area, sniping, defending your spawn, you may want to consider a bouncing betty or claymore depending upon your location, in staircases, tight corners and hallways bouncing bettys are awesome. If your in a room and need a cover claymore also works, unlike bouncing bettys claymores can be hidden around corners and the enemy does not have to walk on them just near them.
    • Very few scenarios call for throwing knife or c4, but if you plan to swap spawn or cover your back or run and gun with fast moving classes you may consider one of these although they are not suggested.
  4. Picking your Tactical
    • If you breach rooms or turn corners a flash or concussion grenade do well, smoke grenades can be used like this to but are more suggested for sniping, this allows the sniper to get into place and not be spotted from long range (place it wisely).
    • If your more of the type to try and take over their spawn a scrambler works well once you get in there as well as portable radar for getting there
    • If you are worried about an rpg being shot at you the trophy system is a good bet, for snipers in a location placing a trophy system appropriately can save them from incoming explosives.
    • Emp grenades are more for if you know a sentry gun is around the corner and your only reason for being there is to remove it, or a claymore around the corner, they can be used well but i haven't seen much use for them at this time.
    • Tactical insertions are not recommended because they are bright, the sit in one spot and someone who finds it will camp it until you spawn there. They can however bee good for breaching enemy spawn but are very risky.
  5. Picking your perk 1.
    • Make sure the perk is useful to you, don't use Extreme Conditioning if you are going to sit in one spot, don't use Scavenger if you are good with many weapons (picking up weapons is a good thing to learn/remember to do), don't use Blind Eye if your sitting inside or in a corner, Don't use Recon if your not using explosives.
    • Make sure the perk works with the class, Recon is good if your using a grenade launcher, rocket launcher, and other grenades/explosives often
    • Slight of hand is good for most playing types
    • Blind eye is more for someone doing run and gunning over a sniper or camper
    • Extreme conditioning is more for a run and gunner over a sniper or camper
    • Scavenger is more for those who are not great with a multitude of weapons
  6. Picking your Perk 2.
    • Make sure the perk is useful to your game style
    • Quickdraw is for run and gunners
    • Blast shield is better for snipers
    • Hardline is better for people who have trouble with killstreak's
    • Assassin is better for sniper, people using silencers, stealth players.
    • Overkill is more for snipers who need a back defense its good to have an smg, or if they move often sometimes a smaller assault rifle.
  7. Picking your perk 3
    • Make sure the perk fits your play style
    • Marksman is more for a sniper or long range assault rifle player (3 shot burst assault rifle's are suggested)
    • Stalker is more for a run and gunner just make sure you turn corners aiming.
    • Setrep is more for the player who is running around, although i noticed not may people use explosives in my personal experience.
    • Steady aim is more for if your hip firing which would be more suggested at point blank with an smg rather then sniping or using an assault rifle.
    • Dead silence is more for a sneaky person rather then someone camping a single corner or sniping.
  8. Strike package
    • For killing based matches killstreak's from the assault class are suggested
    • For team games like domination support is suggested, this allows your team to do their job better
    • For games such as free for all, or capture the flag the specialist is not a bad way to go this will allow you to be an all around better player and not worry about using air support, where to use it, how to hide when using it, etc.
    • For more details on killstreaks click Here
  9. Death streak
    • I do not suggest revenge because it will make you greedy and get yourself killed again looking for that person.
    • If you die a LOT to the point where you really shouldn't be playing then Dead man's hand is a good deathstreak for you (mainly for the close range run and gun type.
    • If your a run and gunner juiced is great, it allows you to get there asap and be ready for the encounter a 2nd time.
    • If you are the person who dies a lot but is a really good player just having a bad match Hollow points is great, it allows you after dying to use your skill to make a fast recovery with extra bullet damage
This is a decent outline to follow, most of it is common since but people don't usually think about it they just pick what they like using. For guns and perks make sure all your stuff in the class agrees with one another, if your using Blind eye, Assassin, then try Dead silence. If your using Extreme conditioning and Quickdraw give Steady aim or Setrep a try. Mixing things in classes such as a sniper with Extreme conditioning and Quickdraw, or someone with a Tactical insertion, trophy system, and a handgun with no grenade launcher on their primary then Recon is not a good perk for you. Think about it, be smarter then your enemy its not always about who can get the most kills, in a deathmatch its about who can have the most kills higher then deaths, example is a person in a deathatch who went 5-1 is better then the person who went 20-18, the 5-1 helped your team +4 but the 20-18 only did +2. The person in a Capture the flag who went 40-5 doesn't matter if your team lost, their team could all be 2-20 and your team will still lose, its not a killing based game.
Don't use AC130 in a search and destroy, who will seriously get that many kills in a search every time? Be smarter then the other players.

Which killstreak's should i use?

Killstreak's should be used to help your team win (obviously).

  1. Plan which set you will use depending upon your gameplay, example don't use an AC130 in a search and destroy, don't use 7, 9, 12 killstreak setup if you have trouble getting a 5 killstreak (your wasting your chance)
  2. Don't be scared to change killstreak's during a match, Modern Warfare 3 allows you to set killstreak's to a custom class so you can swap them unlike killstreak's in the past. If you have 7+ for your lowest killstreak because you are the play who can get it every match don't be scared that if you die without getting close to it to swap to lower killstreak's, winning a bunch of uav's is more helpful then not winning anything.
  3. Don't be selfish, use killstreak's that help both you and your team mates, not saying don't use a predator missile, or don't use a chopper, but don't stress over being the best, its better for your team to have ballistic vest and everyone have a chance at 1 higher killstreak rather then you get greedy and get your chopper that they will shot down.
These are simple concept that people seem to forget. Here's some Q&A

Q. How do i choose which killstreak class i should use?
A. The standard deathmatch is 6v6, have your lower kill/death ratio people use simple 3,4,5 killstreak on assault, this can lessen the time they spend in the open attacking while they are calling in a care package or using a predator. Have your middle kill/death ratio people using support, those ballistic vest will really help your team as well as some other goodies in that branch. Have your high killstreak's go back to assault, make sure they wisely pick killstreak's, just because they can go 15-0 doesn't mean they will have a 7 killstreak as their lowest, theirs nothing wrong with using a 5 killstreak to boost you to 7 or 9 and use that to boost you higher in the killstreak list. As for the specialist, they are really good for a non deathmatch such as a capture the flag, its much better running into combat with 3 people who have bonus perks helping the flag carrier then some missiles or chopper.

Q. I want to get a high killstreak but i have trouble getting 5 kills without dying, what do i do?
A. You use low killstreak's. This is a team based game (other then free for all), your playing with other real people not the computer (or alone in a free for all). You can screw the computer (or yourself) up and do as you wish but its not right to be greedy when its a team thing. Use low killstreak's that's why they have care package, you will eventually get the high killstreak that you desire and not ruin your teams chances.

Q. I want to use killstreak's from both the assault and support category, can i do that?
A. No, unfortunately you can not, i would personally love to mix and match them but they are not allowed to ensure the game is more balanced. You can however swap killstreak's by making 2 of the same class with different killstreak's and swap at your will.

Q. I keep taking enemy care packages and they keep exploding, how do i know which is the real one and which is the decoy?
A. Look at the location of it as well as if anyone on their team is trying to fight for it, that is the only way to check, you can however avoid the blast. I have found its a good idea to only go for enemy care packages when they are by a wall that you can easily move around, take it while standing up and as soon as you finish sprint behind the wall you only have like 1 second but if it explodes you will not die. (personal experience).

Their are no more questions to address at this time.

Camping in Modern Warfare 3?

This concept of camping can be taken many ways, I will cover all the ways that come to mind.

  1. The Corner Camper - This person is known for sitting in 1 small corner trying to blend in with his/her surroundings so that when you run by them you don't see them. Here's facts about them
    • They don't stay in one spot more then 1-2 kills but they will sit in that spot waiting for those kills for several minuets.
    • After their kill they don't move far, they are hoping you will run back looking for them so they move to a location very close by that has a view of their previous location.
    • They are known to rank up high killstreak's if people don't handle them correctly or having very few kills in an entire match if their location is ignored.
    • They are normally slow on reflexes and know it.
  2. The Room Camper - This person is known for loving 1 room in the map, sometimes 2 rooms if they are forced to swap locations. (not to be confused with snipers) Here's facts about this person.
    • They love 1 room/building (usually small).
    • They will place a defense at one entrance and guard another.
    • They may or may not move from one specific location, they are sometimes known to sit in one spot only moving if their defenses go off.
    • They usually don't rank up high killstreak's, their best combination would be a 3,4,5 killstreak combo with hardline.
    • The only camper who is not known to have a silencer because they want as many people walking through that door as they can have.
  3. The Spawn Defender - This person is often called a camper when he is in fact only defending his teams spawn so that the other does not swap spawns and start killing them from behind. Here's facts about this person.
    • He/she is often confused with The Room Camper and even sometimes this person themselves thinks they are The Room Camper so he/she may move locations and ruin the plan.
    • They are known to make use of what is happening to the team mates near by, meaning if one dies he/she knows where to look for their next target to defend the spawn.
    • This is often considered a noob way of playing but is in fact a very good tactical advantage in a deathmatch.
    • This person is known to rank up the highest of the killsteak's but unforntually for them they usually find themselves dead while using them.
    • This person should be protected but their kills not taken, meaning when defending this person its often a good idea to let them get the kill and have you distract the enemy by running and hiding behind cover (this assist the player in ranking up their killsteaks)
  4. The Simple Camper - This person is known for staying in one spot, being visible from multiple directions but is still behind cover. This camper is the one that people should avoid but seems to be the most popular. Here are facts about this person
    • They are known for having a location with 1 or 2 windows and swapping every few seconds.
    • They are known to rank up low-mid killstreak's
    • They die very often.
    • They usually rank up one of the most kills but also a high death ranking.
    • They will often get deathstreak's.
    • They are usually simple minded and don't understand why the enemy keeps throwing grenades at them.
    • They are often the person on the microphone after the match calling everyone else a camper and that their awesome and that everyone else sucks, etc, etc, etc.
  5. The Map Sprinter - This is a lesser known form of camping but is very often confused with the simple camper. This person is known for moving across 1/4 to 1/2 of the map depending on the size. Here's facts about them
    • They are considered campers because the same person will usually go the same direction to try and kill them and their always there because they run across 1/4 the map then come back and you happen to meet up in the same spot again and again.
    • This person is known to rank up mid-high killstreak's and is also known to use team assisting killsteak's.
    • They often use an smg but are not against using a smaller assault rifle.
    • They often have experience with a large verity of weapons and are not against swapping their primary to continue to fight.
    • If the game measured distance traveled per player this person would have one of the most but yet would be insulted for being a camper after the match.
How do you deal with these people you may ask?

  1. Identify which type of camper they are, it is often good to have communication between you and your team.
  2. Don't run right in shooting because you have a small chance to even be aiming the right direction.
  3. Bring plenty of flash grenades.
  4. Bring your explosives. (don't be scared to be called a noob tuber, some people need to learn not to camp)
How to deal with each specifically.
  1. The Corner Camper
    • Use your secondary grenades to get an idea of where they are.
    • Don't be scared to throw your primary grenades after you flesh out a general location, as well as your rpg, grenade launchers etc.
    • Don't every run to close to where you last seen them, they will simply kill you again.
    • If you seem to be unable to kill them using the previous methods you can try 1 last thing and that is to flush them out, don't crook your grenade so they will either run or throw it back, or lay down suppressing fire while a team mate enters from the other side.
  2. The Room Camper
    • Once you know which side they are guarding try the other move slowly and be careful on triggering their defenses. (claymore, bouncing betty, etc)
    • use explosives in their last known location.
    • Never enter the room unless they are shooting and you know for a fact they are not looking at you (their shooting makes noise they don't hear you and they are already pre occupied)
  3. The Spawn Defender
    • Try to avoid this person because they have a good defense. (including spawning team members)
    • Find their exact location. so that you know what their protecting.
    • Move in as a group, this will allow the spawn locations to swap leaving that person alone, to break their killstreak may be worth several lives but you have to make it fast, failed attempts will only provide him with more killstreak's.
  4. The Simple Camper
    • Snipe them, they often are not bright and will have their head out at almost all times.
    • Throw some grenades in there, he most likely has no cover inside the building or is not thinking about it.
    • Suppressing fire through the wall, again they are likely to have no cover.
  5. The Map Sprinter
    • Identify the area he is sprinting through.
    • Take cover behind something in that general area to view his path.
    • When he moves away from that location lay some explosives on the ground
    • Avoid shooting at this person exposing yourself to them, they are often a skilled player.
I highly suggest becoming The Map Sprinter or The Spawn Defender, they have a high success rate, knowing how to handle them you can learn to prevent that from happening to you. They also may be considered camping but they are more of a defense and offence that works and can be used in a very effective way.
